About
My service and environment are very unique as I am passionate about inclusive education. Operating within the setting of Family Day Care, I create a perfect environment where children from different social backgrounds, genders, and age groups learn to be tolerant and inclusive through supporting interactions and partnerships.
With a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education and sixteen years of experience in child education in Australia, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my role. I firmly believe that children learn best when they are interested and engaged. That's why I use their interests as the focal point of our programming, ensuring that learning is not only fun and interesting, but also meaningful and relevant to each individual child and their family.
At Chiquito's, children are encouraged to take the lead in initiating their projects, investigations, or engaging in collaborative play with other children. The daily routine is flexible, accommodating the unique needs of each child. I also value the involvement of families in my program, recognising that they play a crucial role in their child's education. I actively engage and communicate with families, seeking their input and collaboration to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for their children.
I provide opportunities for educational excursions that further expand their learning horizons, and I encourage families to join us on these outings, fostering stronger bonds and shared experiences. Together, we strive to create a holistic and inclusive educational journey for each child, where their interests, interactions, and partnerships are nurtured and celebrated.
