Community Awards

The Inner West Council's Community Awards Program honours the exceptional people working hard in our community and includes the Pauline McLeod Awards for Reconciliation, Citizen of the Year Awards and Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Awards.

The annual Community Awards celebrate Inner West community members who live, study, work and volunteer across our local government area. Our awards recognise and celebrate locals who are making outstanding contributions to our community and making a difference in the Inner West. The Community Awards are a chance to nominate these individuals and groups and have their contribution recognised. Nominees and award recipients will be celebrated as part of a ceremony event in May 2025 as part of NSW Volunteer Week.

Anyone can nominate someone they feel fits the award criteria.

Key program dates:

  • Nominations open Monday 17 February 2025
  • Nominations close Sunday 9 March 2025
  • Awards ceremony Wednesday 21 May

Check back later to make a nomination.
