Meet our educators
Family Day Care educators operate their own businesses within the Family Day Care service. As independent operators, they have the flexibility to set their fee schedule based on the services they provide. Each educator creates a unique environment for the children in their care, offering a personalised curriculum. These compliance requirements are in place to maintain a safe and secure environment for the children attending Family Day Care and to ensure that all educators meet the necessary standards and qualifications.
Compliance requirements for Family Day Care include:
1. Child Protection: Educators must hold child protection certifications or clearances to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care.
2. First Aid: Educators are required to have a valid first aid qualification to handle emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance, if needed.
3. Police Check: Educators must have a police check to ensure they do not have any criminal records or history that could pose a risk to children.
4. Safety Drills: Regular safety drills, such as fire drills and evacuation procedures, must be conducted to prepare for emergencies and ensure the safety of the children.
5. Fire Checks: Fire safety inspections and checks of the premises where Family Day Care operates are necessary to meet safety regulations and mitigate fire risks.
6. Working With Children Check: All household members living in a home that runs a Family Day Care service must obtain a working with children check to verify their suitability to be around children and ensure their safety.
7. Insurance: Family Day Care services require educators to have appropriate insurance coverage to protect themselves, the children, and families in case of accidents or incidents.
