Guest curators for 2024, Koori Radio is Sydney’s only First Nations radio station, broadcasting 24/7 on FM and DAB+ from Australia’s Black Capital, Redfern NSW.
Koori Radio has a 'Live and Deadly' cultural mix of Australian/International Indigenous and black music combined with talkback, news, current affairs, chat and community information. Currently it produces five weekly programs broadcast nationally through community and Indigenous networks as well as national live broadcasts of major Indigenous events. It has an award-winning team of professional and volunteer broadcasters from a wide variety of backgrounds. Koori Radio's DJs will be spinning tunes all day at Marrickville Music Festival so head on up to Illawarra Rd end to get funky!
Gadigal Information Service, home of Koori Radio plays a leading role in developing and promoting the careers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians, broadcasters, singers and songwriters. Its Young, Black & Deadly workshops support the creative aspirations of under-18s in performance and radio broadcasting.

The Samoan Princess

The Samoan Princess (aka S.P.) is one of the founders and a current co-host of the Puha and Porkbones Radio Show on Koori Radio 93.7FM. Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, S.P. loves to play and showcase Maori and Pacific Island Artists and plays Kiwi tunes every chance she gets.

DJ Fasmwa is a Caribbean musical specialist, based in Sydney, Australia focused on the musical genres of Soca, Dancehall & Reggae. DJ FASMWA has a unique bond to these genres due to his Caribbean ancestry. He understands the nuances of the genre, and allows the listeners to experience the very best in the music, whilst taking them on a musical journey. After a short radio stint, as school work experience, he was hooked to the electric and energetic response a DJ and Selecting music could provide. Already a music lover, this was the icing on the cake. Making people dance and creating memories.
