Get ready for the first Inner West Fest

Wednesday 17 March 2021

Everyone’s invited to celebrate the very best of the Inner West at the first Inner West Fest, Friday 19 March – Sunday 28 March.

Inner West Fest is a range of community-led art, music and food events across 2021.

“First off the rank is Baludarri (Balmain),” said Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne.

“With large-scale gatherings off our social calendars due to COVID, we’ve had to re-think what our events calendar looked like during 2021.

“We reached out to our community for ideas on new ways of delivering events and activations, and the community has delivered,” Mayor Byrne said.

The opening event on Friday 19 March, 7pm – 8.30pm will see the Balmain Town Hall light up with projections representing the precinct’s Indigenous name Baludarri, meaning Leatherjacket (a type of fish).
