Monday 20 September 2021
The popular Click & Collect has returned to Inner West libraries.
Click & Collect resumed today, Monday 20 September.
Library staff say today has seen an enthusiastic number of library members use the Click & Collect service.
“We know from last lockdown that this service is incredibly popular,” said Inner West Mayor Rochelle Porteous.
“So, we were disappointed that Public Health Orders meant we had to discontinue Click & Collect a few months ago.
“But now it’s back – just in time for the school holidays.
“Library services play an incredibly important role in the wellbeing of our community, especially during lockdown,” said Mayor Porteous.
“I know many, many Inner West residents will be so happy and relieved to one again be able to borrow books, DVDs and so much more from our libraries.”
Click & Collect will be a COVID-19-safe service.
After searching the catalogue, up to 40 items can be reserved on-line or via phone.
When the item is ready to be collected, a text or email is sent. Items are held for five days.
The Click & Collect pick up points are Ashfield, Balmain, Leichhardt or Marrickville libraries entrances, Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, weekends 11am-5pm.
Library staff have commenced planning for the reopening of all library services as restrictions ease. Any update on services at branch libraries will be posted on Council’s website.
