Blooming Arts Exhibition – call for entries

The Blooming Arts Exhibition celebrates the work of artists with a disability, and supports their art practice.

The call out for artists to register is open and will close on 7 November 2017.

Members of the public are invited to attend the Exhibition opening on Saturday 2 November, from 1-3pm.

Artists with a disability are invited to register their artworks for exhibition and sale with no commission required.

One featured artist will win the much coveted Blooming Arts Mentoring Prize valued at $1500. This will provide the winner with an opportunity to further develop and enhance their creative talents through the Sydney College of the Arts.

Other awards on offer include:

  • The Judges Choice Award - $500 in art supplies (sponsored by Tilly's Art Supplies).
  • People’s Choice Award - $200 in art supplies
  • The Packer’s Choice Award - $100 art supplies
  • Secondary School Artist's Prize - $100 in art supplies
  • Highly Commended - $50 in art supplies 

The Exhibition will run at the Chrissie Cotter in Camperdown from 1 - 17 December 2017, coinciding with International Day for People with a Disability, which falls on 3 December each year.

Key Dates

Artist registrations due: Tuesday 7 November
Art delivery: Wednesday 22 November, 10am -12.00 noon
(Chrissie Cotter Gallery).
Exhibition opening: Saturday 3 December, 1-3pm
Exhibition duration: Friday 1 - Sunday 17 December, 2017
