Alternative Photography Tour

Bring along your 35mm camera for photowalk like you've never seen. Snap local open studios with analogue experts The Darkroom Social then head to the brewery to develop your pictures - in beer!

Discover art in a whole new way!

Join us for the Sensory Tour for Creative Trails—an experience where you can engage with art through touch! This special event is brought to you by Accessible Arts, in partnership with the Inner West Council.

Our friendly guides will take you on a journey where you can learn about the stories and inspirations behind the art. You'll get to touch different materials and tools used by artists and join in some fun activities to explore your senses.

Art isn’t just something to look at—it’s something to feel and experience.

Street Art Walking Tour

Welcome to the Creative Trails Guided Walking Tour! Join Melinda Vassallo, author of Perfect Match; Street Art of the Inner West, out front Marrickville Train Station, Crn of Enmore Road and Addison Road, for a unique experience exploring the vibrant art scene in Marrickville.

This relaxed 3 hour walk will take you on an adventure of the creative and culturally diverse Inner West suburb of Marrickville. Meander the colourful streets and laneways where graffiti and street artist roam while discovering where art is made. Explore hidden artists' studios, independent galleries and quirky artist run initiatives.

Starting out front of Marrickville Train Station, you will discover some Street Art and learn about the artists and their work. Visit many artist spaces and studios along the way. 

Be prepared for fun, wear comfortable shoes for a long walk and be properly prepared for the weather.

Location This tour will take you around the streets and studios of Sydenham and Marrickville. Meet at Marrickville Train Station, Cnr Enmore Road and Addison Road.

Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus 

Pack MORE into this blockbuster weekend by taking the free Hop-On-Hop-Off bus which loops around the open studios all day, both days!

Two busses will follow a loop around conveniently located stops around Dulwich Hill, Marrickville South, Sydenham, St Peters, Marrickville North and in-between!

Creative Spaces, Food and Drink

In this free tour we explore the Carrington Road creative area and its fascinating history that has led to former large-scale factories now being used by creative studios and food & drink producers.

This offering is 18+ as we’ll swing into a licensed venue.

Notes Any artwork, food or drink purchased is at own cost. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. We’ll walk approximately 1.5 km – further if you’d like to explore beyond the tour. The route is mostly flat with 1 moderate hill to walk up. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water plus a bag if you want to buy some goodies from the studios or producers we visit.

Vintage Bus Tour

All aboard! Step back in time on a vintage bus and travel across the Midjuburi Marrickville area in style – from the outskirts to the heartland. Art guide included!

Time 1pm - 4pm

Location Meet the bus on Trafalgar Street, Petersham - opposite Petersham Train Station, in the bus zone outside the Petersham RSL.

Notes This is a 3 hour tour (approximate) on a vintage bus with some walking between studios.
Come prepared to engage with local artists and their work. There will be opportunities to purchase refreshments at the start. Or you may like to bring your own snacks.
