Connected : The Rhythm within calling us home, was a work in development, exploring the interconnectedness of rhythm and music, songs and stories, past and present, the spirit world and the human world, that connects all cultures, across the globe. Contemporary dancer and musician Yacou, worked alongside 11 artists in a multidisciplinary work combining storytelling, music and dance in a cross-cultural production. The community was invited to see the work in development at an open rehearsal. The evening saw a packed audience, fully engaged and participating in interactive opportunities.

The artists come from many countries, and we talked about the connection we all have with music, with our ancestors. The chance to create with talented musicians and artists, sharing culture".

"Cultural Connections gave me the chance to develop a creative project that I had not been able to before. Funding that supports local artists from diverse backgrounds is important".
