SOFA Nothing

1:05pm

SOFA Nothing is made up of four kids in year 6 at Petersham Public.  The SOFAs are Skye-Oliver-Florence-Arthur (Skye Sinclair on bass, Oliver Richards on guitar, Florence Jennings on vocals and Arthur Shannon on Cajon).  Supported by the school and their musician parents, the kids have been learning classic hits and creating some of their own since 2023.  They get everyone grooving and singing along at school events, performing arts showcases and external school fairs.  Marrickville Festival would be an amazing next step for them, with a world first debut of their original song 'Wild Child'.  'So-far' (SOFA) 'Nothing', but if they keep at it who knows!!

Coomba All Stars

5:15pm

Bringing old world sonic architecture of Near East thought and Aryavarta musical philosophies mixed with the stylings of modern culture. Creating a sonic landscape, rich in texture and design, the Coomba All-Stars speak a unique and complex language through the medium of Santur (Coomba), Violin (Rocio Ibacache) Alto/Barri Sax, Flute (Ian Pieterse) Bass (Rendra Freestone) and Kit (Tim Bradley).  Coomba All-Stars are currently working on their debut album with the intention of releases in late 2024.  The music is a collection of thoughts and promises inspired by the wandering path of travelled experiences that have been gathered up during life and spread across an aural spectrum.
