The Glorious Sousaphonics

Roving 12:30pm-1:00pm and 1:30pm-2:00pm

The Glorious Sousaphonics (aka The RiotSquad) were formed in 1997 in Sydney. They have brought their pint-sized brass band to countless festival stages, venues, schoolyards, weddings, parties...  Working also since 2005 with Musica Viva In Schools (as The Sousaphonics and Moon Radio Hour) they have brought their music to tens of thousands of school students around Australia and overseas.   Their unique, heady brew showcases everything that is possible with brass, woodwind, percussion and the human voice.  Drawing on all modern Pop music, Balkan Brass, Brazilian Samba, New Orleans second line, Jazz and anything else that takes their fancy. The music is uplifting and engaging. The hive of activity that characterises each performance is unparalleled.
