Dina Juana is a soft rock sad girl who explores her own psyche through lyricism. The Sydney-based singer-songwriter is characterised by her brutal honesty and tender self-reflection. Her sound draws primarily from rock and folk traditions, moving seamlessly between earthy acoustic vulnerability and upbeat dynamism. With evocative storytelling, raw instrumentation and a voice that oscillates between rich vibrato and delicate clarity – Dina's music makes you feel all the feels. Her debut EP ‘Emotional Prude’ comes out 30 August 2024.

Lorenzo

Inspired by legendary troubadours such as Bob Dylan, Paul Simon & (especially) Leonard Cohen, Lorenzo has always been fascinated by the art of story-telling. Inspired by the organic nature of their music, he felt compelled to partake in what ultimately became his primary means of navigating the world. After many failed attempts to suppress his creative tendencies (in order to fit in with society), Lorenzo has finally surrendered to his creative tendencies and is releasing the songs he’s held onto for nearly a decade. Guitar, pen & paper in hand, he aims to resume his self-appointed task of being as honest as possible.

Lindsey is a band from Eora/Sydney forging a new sound in Queer pop-indie-rock. From their debut self-produced album “A Collection of Deceptions”, what was once ‘Abbey Lindsey’ has become ‘Lindsey’ championing a new found freedom in their queer identity. Channelling their discoXrockabilly charm into their music, Lindsey- now a band, has become a force to be reckoned with and are on the move to release their anticipated second album later this year.

Sam, a 21-year-old musician, hailing from Wollongbar in the Northern Rivers and has moved to Sydney to pursue his passion for music. Currently studying contemporary music at the prestigious Conservatorium of Music, Sam is preparing to release new singles in 2024, following his debut single Broken, recorded with TDP in 2021. Influenced by Australian artists like Matt Corby and Gang of Youths, Sam aims to captivate global audiences with his indie rock sound. Sam has been professionally gigging for 3 years now and is set to make his mark as an emerging artist in the Folk Rock space.

Martha Chess Phelps and Eva Diana

Martha Chess Phelps is an indie folk/rock singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sydney. Honest lyrics and folk-influenced vocals intertwine with a distinct rock flair. For this year’s Marrickville Festival, Martha will be joined by friend, band mate and collaborator Eva Diana.
Eva’s influences and musical style, while heavily overlapping with Martha’s, leans slightly more towards the Americana scene in the U.S., combining country and rock to tell unique stories. Currently based in Sydney, Eva Diana grew up in Byron Bay where she developed her performance skills and a deep appreciation for the environment.
For the first time, they will bring both vocal and
guitar harmonies to their individual works and share their love for the music
that inspires them.

Euan Hart

Through his genre bending songwriting, Euan Hart blends contemporary folk foundations with vivid pop threads defining himself as a stylistic chameleon in the alt-folk/pop scene in both hemispheres. The unique sonic landscapes created in his music are worlds created solely by Hart in his home studio where he records and produces all releases to date - a testament to his skill in production and singular recording techniques. Drawing upon influences such as Weyes Blood, Father John Misty and Andy Shauf, Hart’s tongue in cheek lyricism blur the lines between the devastating truths of heartbreak and the rituals of daily life, showing that a lot of the times they are one in the same.
