Mardi Gras Celebrations
Inner West Council proudly supports the diversity of our LGBTQ+ community.
Each year Council celebrates the month of Mardi Gras through various events and activities under the theme of 'Feel the Love'. These festivities are organised in partnership with the Inner West Council LGBTQ Working Group and community partners.
Feel the Love 2025
This year, Feel the Love launched in Pride Square with drag icons Nana Miss Koori and Felicity Frokkichino, followed by an afternoon of free, all-ages entertainment in Camperdown Memorial Rest Park from 2pm to 5pm.
Inner Westies young and old enjoyed a day of fantastic shows, delicious food, free face painting and groovy tunes. Other activities included arts and craft workshops, dress-ups with drag queens, and a pet parade with prizes for the best and sassiest pets!
