Henson Park Pathway and Path Lighting Upgrade Works
- Project description: Inner West Council is investing $400,000 to upgrade the next stage of pathway and path lighting at Henson Park. The new pathway lighting will extend park hours and improve safety for joggers, dog walkers and other park users at night.
Henson Park will remain open for public use excluding the construction works area which will not be accessible to the public during the construction works. Council thanks residents for their patience during the upgrade works.
Stage 1 upgrade includes:
- Extension of the concrete pathway from Woodland Street to the water harvesting tanks located at the oval
- A series of state-of-the-art LED sensor light poles along the pathway
- New bench seating along the pathway
- Landscaping and seating around the water tanks and pathway
- Progress: Construction works in progress
- Completion date: March 2025
Stage 2 upgrade includes:
- Extension of the concrete pathway from the water harvesting tanks to Sydenham Road carpark
- A series of state-of-the-art LED sensor light poles along the pathway
- New water bubbler with dog bowl
- Progress: Design stage
- Completion date: TBC
