Non-residents can register to vote

Inner West Council encourages owners of rateable properties to register to vote in the forthcoming local government elections.
Non-residents who own, occupy or lease property in the Inner West Council local government area as a corporation, business or individual could be eligible to vote.
To check on eligibility, go to www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au/Elections.
If eligible, non-residents can complete the appropriate form and return it to Council to ensure they are on the Inner West non-residential register.
The completed form must be returned to Council by 26 July.

All electors enrolled on the NSW State electoral roll as at 6pm Monday 26 July, residing in Inner West Council local government area, are included on the residential roll for the election.
To update enrolment details online or to obtain a residential enrolment form visit aec.gov.au or call 13 23 26. Enrolment forms must be received by Monday 26 July, 6pm.
The local government elections are Saturday 4 September.
Voters will elect 15 new councillors – three for each of the five wards.
Candidate nominations open on 26 July and close on 4 August.
Council is calling for diversity among councillor nominees, and is particularly urging women, young people and people from non-English speaking backgrounds to consider standing for election.

• Marrickville Pavilion, Wednesday 14 July, 6pm
• Ashfield Council Chambers Level 6, Wednesday 21 July, 6pm
