Artists can apply now for GreenWay public art program
Monday 15 March 2021
Expressions of interest are now invited from artists for the GreenWay Missing Links Public Art Program.
Artists Brief - Stage One EOI calls for concept designs for multiple, site specific, permanent sites along the GreenWay.
Up to 13 site specific artworks will be installed across five precincts - ideally from individual artists or teams interested in working in public space with a focus on the environment.
The proposals should reflect the artists’ creative responses to the GreenWay, a vital and verdant green space, and deepen people's relationship to this special place.
• Stage One: EOI call out invites concepts and ideas from artists/teams who may apply for a single site, a suite of sites in the same precinct, or as many sites as desired
• Stage Two: The Public Art Panel will then select artists/teams to progress to Stage 2 Design Development for a fee of A$1,000 (ex GST)
• Stage Three: Artists/teams present their detailed designs to the panel for final selection and commissioning for Stage 3 Fabrication and Installation, with completion in early 2023
An online presentation is scheduled for Friday 19 March at 11am, where artists will be ‘walked through’ the GreenWay Missing Links Program and will have an opportunity to ask about the program and the various sites.
As well, this will provide technical information and more about each site's specifications.
The session will be available online after the presentation.
EOI applications are due by 5pm Tuesday 20 April, 2021.
