Apply now for Inner West Fests
Thursday 15 April 2021
Inner West Council is inviting the community to submit ideas and proposals for the final three Inner West Fests.
Expressions of interest are now open for the Djarrawunang (Ashfield), Midjuburri (Marrickville) and Damun (Stanmore) Festivals.
Local artists, small business owners, residents and community leaders are invited to present ideas and concepts to replace Council’s large-scale street festivals.
“We have already held the successful Baludarri (Balmain) Inner West Fest and next up is Gulgadya (Leichhardt) in May,” said Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne.
“Our annual calendar of events was smashed by the pandemic. These focused festivals are a way to still bring everyone together safely and celebrate what makes the Inner West so great,” Mayor Byrne said.
Successful applicants will be assigned an experienced event producer to assist and ensure their events and activations are safely enjoyed by all.
EOIs for the Djarrawunang (Ashfield), Midjuburri (Marrickville) and Damun (Stanmore) Festivals are open until Monday 3 May.
The Inner West Fests will be held:
• Djarrawunang (Ashfield) Festival (17-26 September 2021)
• Midjuburi (Marrickville) Festival (15-24 October 2021)
• Damun Festivals (Stanmore) Festival (19-28 November 2021)
