2021 Citizens of the Year and Amy Large awards now open
Thursday 18 March 2021
Nominations are now open for Inner West Council’s 2021 Citizens of the Year, and Amy Large Volunteer of the Year awards.
Nominees for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Senior Citizen of the Year should be inspirational role models who have made outstanding contributions to the Inner West community in any field.
The Amy Large awards honour local resident and much loved volunteer Amy Large, who passed away in 2015.
These awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to local families, organisations, programs and individuals in need.
Amy Large Volunteer of the Year Awards categories are:
• Young Volunteer of the Year
• Adult Volunteer of the Year
• Senior Volunteer of the Year
• Volunteer Team/Group of the Year
The awards highlight the amazing contributions made every day across the Inner West.
Last year’s Citizen of the Year Roxanne McMurray’s leadership and heroic contribution to the prevention of domestic and family violence has impacted on thousands of local people.
Roxanne is just one of the many unsung heroes who help make the Inner West a better place and a more caring and inclusive community
The Citizens of the Year awards and the Amy Large volunteer awards provide Council with an opportunity to recognising these people and thanking them their achievements.
Nominations close Wednesday 7 April 2021.
