Pop Up Festive Tree community celebration

Thursday 10 December 2020

Everyone’s invited to celebrate the installation of a new tree and public artwork in St Peters.

The ‘pop-up festive tree’ is part of Council’s response to illegal tagging and dumping.

On Monday 14 December and Tuesday 15 December, 11am-3pm, local artist Kim Siew will be ‘live painting’.

On Tuesday 15 December, a free community celebration will be held 6pm-7pm.

The initiative is through Council’s Urban Forest and Perfect Match street art programs.

Kim Siew is artist in residence at Council’s Thirning Villa. Her artwork is inspired by the area’s native flora.

Family, friends, and fellow residents are all invited to celebrate the new tree and public artwork, pick a festive candy cane from the tree and see the Christmas solar lights turned on.
