Celebrate sustainability at Footprints Online program of talks and activities on Saturday 29 August.
For 10 years, Footprints Ecofestival has been held annually at Council’s Whites Creek Valley Park.
This year it has become Footprints Online, with panel discussions, webinars and videos on sustainability issues relevant to Inner West residents:
11:00am: Welcome and Acknowledgement of Country with Aunty Deb Lennis
11:05am: Video tour of Whites Creek Valley Park
11:10am: Climate Change podcast - ABC journalist Richard Aedy in conversation with the author of How to Talk about Climate Change in a Way That Makes a Difference, Rebecca Huntley and NSW lead national organiser of School Strike 4 Climate, Jean Hinchliffe
12 noon: Short community environmental project showcase videos
12:05pm: Cornersmith cooking demonstration, led by co-authors of Use it All, The Cornersmith guide to a more sustainable kitchen, Alex Elliott-Howery and Jaimee Edwards
12:25pm: Sharing in the local Inner West economy podcast - Emma Daniell from Inner West Council's Green Living Centre will facilitate a discussion with University of Wollongong PhD candidate Inka Santala, founder of Inner West Tool Library Amy Croucher and founder of Sharewaste Eli Bramborova
1:15pm: Kids art workshop with Artspark
1:45pm: Sustainable food systems podcast - Emma Daniell from Inner West Council's Green Living Centre in conversation with Costa Georgiadis from ABC Gardening Australia, Patrice Newell author of Who's Minding the Farm? and Manu Prigioni from Farm it Forward
2:45pm: Live Q&A – Featuring Costa Georgiadis from ABC Gardening Australia and several of the guest speakers
