Next exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery

Friday, 17 June 2019

The next exhibition to feature at Council’s Chrissie Cotter Gallery is a “multi-disciplinary exploration of the local area”, inspired by the poem Leisure by W H Davies.

Artist Sarah Woodward explains that she uses photography “to create two-dimensional works, installations and projection”.

“I [will] bring an immersive experience of the local area into the gallery,” she said.

“My work appears simple but is complex and nuanced.”

Sarah is a local emerging artist, and this year was a finalist in The Blake Prize, and was also shortlisted for The Clyde & Co Art Award.

She says this exhibition at Chrissie Cotter Gallery “will explore the colours, textures and other unnoticed ephemera” of the Inner West.

What life is this, if full of care is at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, Pidcock Street, Camperdown from Wednesday 26 June to Sunday 30 June.

Hours: Thursday - Sunday 11am-4pm

Opening: Wednesday 26 June, 6-8pm
