Be part of EDGE at Leichhardt Town Hall
Tuesday, 18 December 2018
Performers, groups and artists of all kinds are invited to apply to make Leichhardt Town Hall a cultural hub during April 2019, as part of EDGE Inner West Town Hall Activation.
Expressions of Interest for activations at Leichhardt Town Hall open today.
Leichhardt Town Hall has a long history of community and cultural use, and EDGE Inner West Town Hall Activation will strengthen and continue this tradition.
EDGE Town Hall Activation encourages a broad range of diverse performers and groups to use the hall free of charge and develop new works and ideas that cater to a range of tastes - from the innovative to the traditional.
As well as free use of the Town Hall, successful applicants will be listed in the project program and be provided with free promotion.
EDGE Inner West is a rolling series of arts events and activations slated for 2019. It was launched by Council to the community in an amazing night of music, projection, paste-ups and pop-up performances in the Ashfield forecourt and surrounds in September.
EDGE aims to:
• Build community, arts and businesses partnerships
• Engage local artists and diverse communities to express local identity
• Profile the inner west as the creative engine room of global Sydney
EDGE will see Council working collaboratively with the creative sector to develop initiatives, curate programs and produce lasting benefits for the inner west
EOIs for EDGE Inner West Town Hall Activation close Friday, 18 January 2019, 1pm.
