2018 Seniors Festival Inner West Council’s 2018 Seniors Festival calendar of FREE events commences Thursday 5 April and includes plays, tours, workshops, courses, soirees and more. This year marks the 60th anniversary of NSW Seniors Festival. The 2018 theme is ‘Let's do more together!’ Highlights include: Say Something Do Something Council’s Spark Youth Theatre has brought together an intergenerational ensemble of local young and older people to make a new multimedia show about the potential for words, actions and theatre to change the world. Rusty Riders cycle course Tailored for those who haven't ridden for a while and need confidence to start riding more regularly. Tempe Recreation Reserve, Sunday 8 April 9am-1pm. Book GreenWay walking tour and bush care drop-in A 2.5 km stroll along a section of the Cooks River to Iron Cove urban environmental corridor GreenWay. Highlights include bush care sites, public art, rail heritage, parks, playgrounds, Hawthorne Canal Road Film Centre and more. Includes a stop at Café Bones. Meet at Lewisham Light Rail Station, Monday, 9 April 10am-1pm. Book Edible Weeds workshop A slow-paced guided tour on edible weeds along the Cooks River with naturalist Diego Bonetto.
