Site and Sound Arts 2017
Friday, 24 March 2017
Inner West Council’s annual performing arts program Site and Sound Arts returns this Autumn.
Leichhardt Town Hall comes alive in April and May to showcase a diverse range of performing arts.
Now in in its 5th season, Site and Sound will focus on young performers, new theatre, classical music and experimental arts – and is designed to support the creative practice of arts and cultural practitioners by offering in-kind support for their work.
ASYIK Kids Festival kicks off the program on Saturday 8 April with a celebration of Indonesian culture through food, music, dance and people. The program ends on Friday 26 May with the Piano Picnic, an imaginary indoor 1950s summer picnic setting where young pianists and singers will celebrate their music.
All events are situated within the cavernous Victorian Leichhardt Town Hall. The program continues the Town Hall’s 129 year tradition of continued use by the community.
