Have your say on Marrickville Town Centre upgrade Inner West Council is asking residents and businesses: “What do you love about the Marrickville Town Centre? What would you change?” Feedback will help Council develop a 10-year plan to upgrade streets, laneways, plazas and other public spaces. The Marrickville Town Centre is focused around the intersection of Marrickville and Illawarra Roads and the surrounding laneways. It also includes the section of Petersham Road from Marrickville Town Hall to Illawarra Road. The bustling centre is home to a thriving and multicultural business community which includes shops, food outlets, cafes and bars. Marrickville Town Centre also has a large variety of housing including single dwelling, town houses and apartment buildings Members of the community are invited to contribute to the development of the plan by describing their experiences of the Town Centre. The feedback will be collated with information gathered through previous consultations to inform the 10 year plan and help Council to prioritise work going forward. Community members can have their say in a number of ways: Online: - By completing a brief online survey at www.yoursaymarrickville.com.au - By identifying areas on an interactive map they love and/or feel need improving In person: Council will also host a number of information sessions, where community members can learn more, ask questions and have their say.
