Fans get to meet the Caltex Socceroos at Leichhardt Oval on Thursday
Fresh from their recent match against England, football fans will get the opportunity to meet their favourite Caltex Socceroos including Mile Jedinak, Aaron Mooy, Robbie Kruse and Tom Rogic at the Caltex Socceroos Fan Day at Leichhardt Oval on Thursday 2 June.
The gates of Leichhardt Oval will be thrown open from 4pm for fans to watch Head Coach Ange Postecoglou put the Caltex Socceroos through a training session in the lead up to Saturday night’s Dodoni Series International Friendly against Greece before the players sign autographs for fans.
The Caltex Socceroos Fan Day has been a popular part of the team’s community engagement before matches all over Australia with the players signing autographs for fans at the end of the one hour training session.
Fans attending the Caltex Socceroos Fan Day will also be able to take part in a host of activities and poster giveaways from 4pm before the team starts its training session at 5pm.
There will be plenty to entertain the kids with facepainting, player siginings and the Caltex Socceroos Mascot, Maloo. Kids will also be able to collect stamps in their Junior Passport to have the chance of winning a MiniRoos pack.
“We always appreciate the support we get from our fans whenever we play at home,” said Caltex Socceroos Head Coach Ange Postecoglou. “These fan days are a great opportunity for the boys to show their appreciation to all the fans and also give them something back in return. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of Socceroos and Matildas as well.”
