Annual book sale at Dulwich Hill Village Fair Marrickville Library’s annual book sale will be held as part of the Dulwich Hill Village Fair on Sunday 11 September. With thousands of books across numerous genres, there is something for all book lovers. Members of Marrickville Library pay just $1 per book. All non-members pay $2 per book. The book sale will take place outside the former Dulwich Hill library branch, located at 12-14 Seaview Street, Dulwich Hill. As part of Inner West Council’s commitment to environmental sustainability, book buyers should bring their own bag. The Dulwich Hill Village Fair will also be an opportunity to see the new Dulwich Hill Library, the Emanuel Tsardoulias Community Library. The new library is more spacious, with the additional area providing more room for computers and other activities. The library is named after the late Councillor who passed away in 2014, at the age of 38. His widow Zoi said Emanuel would have been extremely proud that the new library was in his much-loved old West Ward in Dulwich Hill. “Emanuel was all about the community. He loved reading in his spare time and it gives me and our son’s great comfort that we can visit the library knowing what a wonderful and much needed project Emanuel accomplished for the community,” Zoi said. Dulwich Hill Village Fair is held on Marrickville Road, Dulwich Hill on Sunday 11 September, 10am – 4pm.
