GreenWay High Voltage Electrical Feeder relocation commencing
Inner West Council will soon begin work relocating the ‘High Voltage Electrical Feeder’ along the light rail corridor. The works will enable construction of the GreenWay, including construction of the path and ecological restoration of the corridor.
Council is investing approximately $2 million to undertake these works as part of the $57 million of works detailed in the GreenWay Master Plan.
About the work
Relocation of the ‘33kV High Voltage Feeder 761’ involves electrical works along the light rail corridor between Johnson Park and Jack Shanahan Reserve, as well as works adjacent to Waratah Mills light rail station.
When will the work take place?
The works will commence in early February 2022 and take approximately twelve weeks to complete.
What time will the work happen?
Most works will be undertaken during standard work hours, 7am to 5pm on weekdays.
Some night works and/or weekend works are required to distribute materials and for isolation of the electrical network.
