Additional Free Parking spaces to come in Leichhardt

At Tuesday night’s Council Meeting, Item 7, a notice to rescind a previous resolution on the future of the cottages at 9 and 11 Marion Street Leichhardt, was lost.           

Council will now move forward with the demolition of the former cottages and replace the area with parking that will benefit the entire community.

The Blak Douglas artwork, which was commissioned on a temporary basis with the full understanding of the artist, will be preserved digitally.

Council officers will work with Blak Douglas to identify a suitable permanent location for another commissioned artwork.
