    69. Mia Economou 2022 Young Creative  - Local creatives    Mia Economou is the runner up of the 2022 Young Creatives Awards. She is a 20 year old student, studying exercise physiology at Sydney University, where she is also a member of the elite athlete program. She has been competing at a national level, since she was 12. While she is an athlete, she has always been passionate about her art practise, ever since she was a toddler. Her mum would always give her art supplies to create whatever she wanted. Her grandparents are also painters, so art has just always been in the family. She sees herself continuing to be a creative for the rest of her life, as it is something she really enjoys. Specifically, she has a passion for painting landscapes and capturing the beauty of nature. There is something about earth tones and the way that different shades of green juxtapose that she is really drawn to, and is something that she always includes in her art. Web page
