Celebrating National Reconciliation Week 2024

maroon and white coloured design made up of dots and lines

National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June. This year's theme, Now More than Ever, reminds us all that the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will – and must – continue.

This week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn more about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

During National Reconciliation Week, Inner West Council invites you to join us in a series of free talks, workshops and events held with and in celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

We also encourage you to pay a visit to our beautiful Aboriginal Survival Memorial in Yeo Park created by Maddison Gibbs and Nicole Monks.

For more events in the Inner West, view our What's On calendar.
