Performing arts and music
The Inner West pulsates with live performance every night of the week. Home to some of Sydney’s most iconic venues, such as the Enmore Theatre, the Factory Theatre, the Old 505, Lazybones and the Red Rattler, the Inner West celebrates performance of all kinds, from theatre and music, to dance, aerial and everything in between.
The Living Arts team connects with our performance community to support and promote these talented artists. We do this by providing grants, professional development and project opportunities. In response to the State Government’s Cultural Infrastructure Plan 2025 respondents overwhelmingly indicated the need for space to rehearse or develop artistic practice. We address this need through the Artist XChange and EDGE programs. The Inner West is proud to host so many artists and venues from this vital and vibrant sector.
