Reading between the lines: Too Much Lip - presented by Andrew McLean

This monthly series invites an expert to unpack a book they love, sharing context, close reading, and a chance for discussion.

This month's book is Too Much Lip by Melissa Lucashenko.

Kerry Salter has left her family behind. But when the local mayor threatens to build a prison on her ancestral Bundjalung land, she's pulled back home and into a fight she didn't plan on having. It's a novel about Country, family, and the cost of staying silent.

Come along to listen, ask questions, or join the discussion. Copies of the book are available with an Inner West Library card if you'd like to read ahead, but it's not required.

About the facilitator:

Andrew McLean is a PhD candidate in the English and Writing Department at the University of Sydney, researching how novels can help us respond to the complexities of climate change.
