Inclusion Festival, 3 December: A celebration of leadership, creativity and innovation

On the left is an event in a town hall. Separately, on the right are three hand drawn figures standing proudly underneath a disabiltiy pride flag against a light pink background. The person on the left wears blue striped pants and a green cap, the person in the middle is wearing black shorts and a red top and has a prosthetic limb, the person on the right is a wheelchair user wearing white pants and a green top, holding a megaphone.

Delight your senses at an evening of conversation, music, comedy and interactive art at Petersham Town Hall on 3 December as we celebrate International Day of People with Disability!

The packed line-up of guests includes ABC reporter Nas Campanella, comedian Jamal Abdul, Paralympic gold medallist Timothy Hodge, multidisciplinary artists Jeremy and Bedelia Lowrenčev, and many more.

This accessible interactive event includes Auslan interpreters, live captioning, accessible seating that's not up the back, and a sensory space. Noise-cancelling headphones are available on request, and service animals are welcome.

Booking is free – please visit the Inclusion Festival web page to RSVP, and also to find contact details if you have any questions or specific access needs.

There are also two free outdoor festivals coming up this December for the whole family to enjoy:

  • Jazz in the Park: Balmain comes alive to the sound of award-winning jazz artists at Gladstone Park, 7 December, 1pm to 6pm.
  • Goolay'yari Sounds: Music, community and sustainability activities at Marrickville Golf Course, 15 December, 3pm to 6pm.
