Young Creative Awards - entries open!

The search is on for young creatives in the Inner West. Entries for our 2024 Young Creatives Awards are open now! 

These exciting annual awards give talented young artists the chance to hone their skills and gain valuable exposure, as well as sharing in prize pool worth $8,400. If you are a budding artist, writer or filmmaker aged 12-24, get your entries in by 21 August.

This month is also Refugee Week, running from 16 to 22 June under the theme 'Finding Freedom: Family'. Events in the Inner West include a vibrant showcase of multicultural live music, art, food, dance and performance at the Spirit of Welcome Community Festival in Lilyfield on Sunday 16 June.

We also encourage you to check out the Refugee Week themed artwork 'Intersections' created by Ashfield primary school children with artist in residence, Karen Manning, on display now at Newtown ArtSeat
