What's on Environment and Sustainability 

Celebrating environmentally friendly homes this Sustainable House Day

Sustainable House Day on 19 March is all about celebrating environmentally friendly houses and sharing knowledge to help others make their houses more sustainable. It is coordinated by Renew, an organisation that provides advice on sustainable solutions for households, including heating and cooling, water conservation, solar power and batteries, among others.  

Here's how you can get involved:

• Attend an online session: hosted by Renew on Sustainable House Day

• Come along to a Sustainable Living Information Night: hosted by Renew and supported by Inner West Council. Regular sessions will cover a range of topics around sustainable homes. Keep an eye on Whats On for upcoming sessions.

• Join the Sustainable House Day Bus Tour: run by Council, the Green Living Centre will celebrate environmentally conscious homes in the Inner West. 

• Check out Council resources: find a range of tips on making your house more environmentally friendly, including reducing waste and composting, installing solar power and using energy saving resources such as the thermal imaging camera.
