What's on Environment and Sustainability

Wednesday 8 February

Take action for your local environment on Clean Up Australia Day!

Whats On E&S story 1

It's time to get involved in Australia’s largest community-based environmental event, Clean Up Australia Day

The last three years have seen disruption to our lives, including multiple lockdowns and flooding events, all of which have had devastating impacts on our local rivers, parks and neighbourhoods. Now is the time to ‘pick up’ where we left off and help protect and conserve our environment.

There are three ways you can get involved:

Join an existing site on the day
Register and host a site on your own
Make a donation

This year’s dates are 28 February (Business Clean Up), 3 March (Schools Clean Up) and 5 March (Clean Up Australia Day).

Inner West Council supports this event by collecting rubbish bags from registered community sites. Council can also provide extra equipment or support on request, email rethink.waste@innerwest.nsw.gov.au for more information.
