Improved habitat and wildlife corridors for the Inner West

path, ferns and tall trees in GreenWay bushland

Council purchased land on Hercules Street, Dulwich Hill to add to the GreenWay, a green corridor that will provide sustainable transport and recreational opportunities, in addition to preserving existing biodiversity and improving green space in the Inner West.

The acquired plots on Hercules Street are part of an important network of intact landscape and is the location of the last remaining natural creekline in the Inner West. Increasing this critical habitat network provides for local wildlife by protecting native vegetation and retaining known frog breeding grounds.
